9. Gnomes at Night
Board games are a fantastic way to start building children's language and development from a young age. They can even do so much more than that (see our article on Why Board Games are Important for Kids). We compiled our list of the best board games for two year olds to help you find some new exciting ways to spend time with your toddlers. Catch and Count Gather up some toy animals (or cars or small dolls) and a roll of masking tape. Use strips of masking tape to stick the toy animals, one by one, to a window or a door. Then encourage your child to ‘rescue’ the toys by carefully peeling/pulling off the tape. It’s a fun game for toddlers that’s really good for developing fine-motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
